New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo present the world premiere of the new musical Once, which is based on the Academy Award-winning film. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that the new musical Once, inspired by Dublin street performers and a stage adaptation of the eponymous film, may make it's Broadway debut in February of 2012. The musical recently received a workshop at the American Repertory Theatre in Boston and will be given a full production at the New York Theatre Workshop in December.

Tony Award Nominated actor Alan Campbell will star as Father Flynn, the priest whose actions are being called into question. Campbell received his nomination for originating the role of Joe Gillis, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Sunset Boulevard' opposite Glenn Close, Betty Buckley and Elaine Paige. Naples audiences will remember Alan from his star turn in Gulfshore Playhouse's production of 'Oleanna' by David Mamet.
