Five-time Emmy-winning composer Jeff Beal has just unveiled his new song, Corridors of Calm. The new song hails from Beal’s forthcoming album of piano music, New York Études, set for release on April 26. Beal meticulously composed the New York Études at his Manhattan home in the months after he relocated to New York in 2021. Listen to the song here!

Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra will present Emmy Award-winning composer and conductor Jeff Beal leading the orchestra in a program titled The Unbroken Circle,  featuring works by Beal, Richard Strauss, and Ottorino Respighi at Second Church in Newton on April 7th. 

Responsible for catapulting German Expressionism into the mainstream, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari marks the second installment in Beal's Weimar Trilogy of silent films, in which the renowned composer creates works in tandem with classic films from the silent era. It follows Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (dir. F.W. Murnau, 1927).

What did our critic think of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at Ohio Theatre?

The Los Angeles premiere of Stew by Pulitzer Prize-finalist Zora Howard will be presented at Pasadena Playhouse, the recipient of the 2023 Regional Tony Award.

From the 20-24 June 2023 the National Theatre is celebrating youth theatre as ten youth theatre companies and school groups from across the UK will stage new plays in the Dorfman Theatre as part of its 2023 Connections Festival. 

Jim Carrey stars as Truman Burbank, a man whose life is a nonstop TV show. Truman doesn't realize that his quaint hometown is a giant studio set run by a visionary creator (Ed Harris), that folks living and working there are Hollywood actors, and that even his incessantly bubbly wife (Laura Linney) is a contract player. Gradually, Truman gets wise.

Magic Theatre will present the special one night only event HOUSE of THOMPSON, with the Thompsons- father and daughter, Black creatives, Marc Anthony and Tessa Thompson.
