Nathanael William Stolte is a madcap, DIY, Buffalo poet. His first chapbook 'A Beggar's Book of Poems' published by LastFirstPress-PrintCollective came out in the summer of 2015. He has been a featured poet at Third Wednesday, ECC, and Buffalo State College. Also, in Cleveland, Ohio at Guide to Kulture Book Store. He is one of the founding members of Cringe-Worthy Poets Collective. CWPCollective Press is the kitchen table press he and the Cringers started this year. His second chapbook 'Bumblebee Petting Zoo' and small collections of poems '9 By NWS' and '8 By NWS' were published this year (2016). He is currently working on a summer tour with the Cringers and John Dorsey, nine cities from New Jersey to New Mexico at the end of July. He travels to Kent and Cleveland Ohio for readings as well as Rochester New York. He hopes to expand to Syracuse New York and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He describes his poetics as cathartic confessional or nostalgic reverie. He also co-hosts a monthly poetry circle at Rust Belt on Grant Street, every first Thursday of the month, always at 7pm. Theatr Clwyd Artistic Director Tamara Harvey today announces the full casting for Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac which also features new Welsh poetry from Twm Morys. Steffan Rhodri leads the all-Welsh company in the role of Cyrano, with Sara Lloyd-Gregory as Roxanne and Marc Rhys as Christian, alongside Wayne Cater, Steven Elliott, Victoria John, Rhys Parry Jones, Daniel Llewelyn-Williams, Gwawr Loader, Sion Pritchard, Aled Pugh, Simon Holland Roberts and Dafydd Llyr Thomas. Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd Tamara Harvey today announces the return of Tim Baker's Scattered - the story of two boys from very different backgrounds whose lives collide during an unexpected meeting, forming a bond across boundaries and cultures. Directed by former resident director John Young, the production has been created with the advice of Manchester-based Rethink Rebuild, a Syrian refugee community group. The production plays at Theatr Clwyd and Chapter Cardiff and tours to local secondary schools before final performances at the Good Chance Theatre in Calais - the first play to be invited to perform at the venue. Old Log Theatre's 2015/16 season opens with the regional premiere of Eric Coble's new dramatic comedy THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN. This two person play takes place in a simple Brooklyn brownstone; 79-year-old Alexandra lives a solitary existence with her fleeting memories and is at an impasse with her family over how she should spend her autumn years.  Alexandra's long-absent son enters as a most unlikely mediator, to try and save his mother's life as much as his own. This class is open to middle school students (grades 5-8) who desire to improve their acting and performance technique. The Actor Performance Training Program is sectioned into three units, allowing for in-depth study of various acting topics. Students will begin with improvisation then they will learn how to create characters through Shakespearean text. For the final unit, students will be asked to incorporate what they have learned throughout the year into a devised theatre piece. The program will conclude with a showcase where they perform their original ensemble-generated performance. (more...)
