The production marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth, as well as the 60th anniversary since UNDER MILK WOOD was first produced in Britain, as a radio play by the BBC, in 1954. Josefina López, the critically acclaimed co-screenwriter of the film, Real Women Have Curves, and creator of the play that spanned the film, has a new movie titled, Detained in the Desert, which received its World Premiere at Edward James Olmos's 16th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival in October 2013, which will now bow in four additional film festivals over the next three months. The movie will be shown in the 9th Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival in Burbank, the 21st Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, the 30th Chicago Latino Film Festival and the 11th Annual Reel Rasquache Art &Film Festival in Boyle Heights. Rather than leaving an empty space at his venue, North Adelaide's newest hub, Live At Nine, Kevin Crease Studios, he is sending in his stead his very good friend - and Adelaide veteran, Bob Paisley in John Clancy's multi-award winning THE EVENT, last seen at the Fringe with David Calvitto in 2010 and winner of the Fringe Award for Best Performance.
