Carmelo Anthony joined the team of The Harder They Come at the Public Theater as an executive producer. Anthony’s long-time business partner Asani Swann will also serve as an executive producer on the show.

The world premiere musical THE HARDER THEY COME, an adaptation of the classic Jamaican film, has extended through Sunday, April 2 at The Public Theater. 

Beginning on Thursday, February 16, theatergoers will be able to visit Wheel and Come Again: The 50th Anniversary Art Exhibition of The Harder They Come on The Public Theater’s Levin Mezzanine, an exhibition of art inspired by the original film.

The Public Theater has announced the complete cast for the world premiere of The Harder They Come. Joining the cast is Natey Jones in the lead role of Ivan, making his American stage debut, as well as J. Bernard Calloway and more.

The Public Theater has announced casting for the world premiere of THE HARDER THEY COME, a musical adaptation of the classic Jamaican film produced and directed by Perry Henzell and co-written with Trevor Rhone.

To celebrate the occasion, we're looking back at the show's opening night with its stars Taylor Louderman, Adrienne Warren, Ariana DeBose, Ryann Redmond, Kate Rockwell, and more! Kentwood Players presents the play DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and book by Doug Wright based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film.
