The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announces its 2019-2020 season of Performances for Young Audiences designed to inspire and engage audiences both young and young at heart. The upcoming season includes three Kennedy Center-produced world premiere stage productions, five productions hailing from The Netherlands, a Family Look-In performance of the Washington National Opera's The Magic Flute, and original Music for Young Audiences programs showcasing various musical genres, with some programs featuring musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra.

Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre and Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth are pleased to announce the productions of the Theater's 51st season.  Since opening in 1968 the Alliance has been dedicated to expanding hearts and minds on stage and off with diverse programming for all ages.  The 2019/20 season marks the Alliance's first full season back in its transformed performance space, the newly opened Coca-Cola Stage.

BroadwayWorld has learned the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta has announced their 2019/2020 season including three world premieres, including the new musical BECOMING NANCY directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell, two musicals, including MAYBE HAPPY ENDING directed by two-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Arden, and three productions for youth and families including the world premiere of  MAX MAKES A MILLION based on the book by Maira Kalman and adapted & directed by Liz Diamond.

Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) students in BACT's Advanced Performers the company's by-audition-only traveling musical theatre team brought home five awards last week from the Junior Theatre Festival West, a celebration of youth and musical theatre that attracts more than 1,800 theatre students, educators and professionals to Sacramento each year to share excerpts from productions and hear critiques of their performances from theatre pros.

Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University announces a special engagement of Elephant & Piggie's "We Are In A Play!" based on the Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems, with script and lyrics by Mo Willems and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma. Directed by Wheelock Family Theatre's Education Director, Jeri Hammond, the production returns to Wheelock Family Theatre after playing to sold-out audiences at Boston's Children's Museum to perform four afternoon matinees at 1pm, February 19, 20, 21, and 22. Elephant and Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" is a delightful new musical about two best friends and their many adventures; this charming story based on the best-selling book series by award-winning author Mo Willems. Together the friends discover: What happens when two friends want to play with ONE toy? What DO you wear to a fancy party? And will ANYONE say "Banana?"

Heroines conquer fears, overcome obstacles, and achieve their dreams as Bay Area Children's Theatre (BACT) presents She Persisted, the Musical. Based on the New York Times #1 best-seller, She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World, written by Chelsea Clinton and illustrated by Alexandra Boiger, fourth-grader Naomi becomes her own hero in the world premiere opening Saturday, Feb. 2, at BACT's Berkeley Theatre Center.

From Mo Willems, the author of Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale and the Elephant and Piggie books, comes a tale that transforms naked mole-rats into something cute and fun (and funny).

Citadel Theatre Company, an Equity-affiliated professional company performing in Lake Forest, IL, has announced its 16thseason. The four-show subscription season will include the Lillian Hellman classic THE LITTLE FOXES, a holiday production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, a contemporary American comedy-drama to be announced, and the world premiere of Ross Lehman's SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY, a one-man musical remembrance about his parents and their WWII era romance.

From favorite storybook adaptations like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Charlotte's Web to original plays like And in this Corner… Cassius Clay and The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus (Tempe, Ariz.) Childsplay Theatre announces its 42nd season of theatre that includes five plays at its new home: The Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix.

The Globe is happy to announce that the Globe for All Tour will continue to bring shows to the community in 2018, with support provided by Theatre Forward's Advancing Strong Theatre grant program. Following the Globe engagement of Karen Zacarias's hilarious comedy directed by Edward Torres, Native Gardens will travel June 28 through July 1 to four of our community partner venues for free performances in South Bay, Lemon Grove, Otay Mesa, and Oceanside. Developed in the 2017 Powers New Voices Festival, it runs through June 24 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, and then hits the road!
