Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Jerry Herman: The Broadway Legacy Concert, January 19 - 21, 2017 in Samueli Theater. For three nights, six talented singers will take to the stage performing many of Jerry Herman's beloved musical numbers from Mame, Mack and Mabel, Hello, Dolly! and La Cage Aux Folles.

Just last night, producers Morgan James, Richard Amelius and Torya Beard presented a female-centered concert of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, directed by Richard Amelius (Time Between Us, Empty City), with musical direction by Julie McBride (Amazing Grace, Finding Neverland).

Broadway vet and musical comedy genius Jason Graae will be one of several incredible performers that will be presenting JERRY HERMAN: THE BROADWAY LEGACY CONCERT at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts from January 19 - 21, 2017. BroadwayWorld's Kevin Pollack was lucky enough to get a one-on-one exclusive with Oscar and Grammy winner and 6-Time Tony nominee Stephen Schwartz this past weekend on his stop through Chicago at The McAninch Arts Center at College. His tour stop was only one of a few for a show entitled 'An Evening with Stephen Schwartz and Friends.'

Broadway artists Debbie Gravitte (Tony Award - Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Chicago), Christiane Noll (Tony Nominee - Ragtime, Original Broadway Cast - Jekyll & Hyde), LaKisha Jones (The Color Purple, American Idol finalist), Hugh Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Show Boat) and Doug LaBrecque (The Phantom of the Opera, Show Boat) will sing a benefit concert on Sunday, October 9 in Baton Rouge with all proceeds going to a disaster relief fund to aid those effected by the flood.

It is not a glorified school auditorium, but a professional venue with seating up to 500 people for film, theatre, and concerts with appearances from nationally popular, award winning performers and directors. The Gravittes' unwavering commitment to the playhouse and to the Ridgefield area is remarkable.
