The Marlowe Theatre Announces July Lineup of Dance, Music and Laughter

JULY WILL be a month of dance, music and laughter at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury. The month begins with The Marlowe Dance Showcase (Wednesday 3 July), an annual event giving local dance groups and schools the chance to perform on The Marlowe's main stage.

The global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! celebrated its 20th anniversary in London's West End at the Novello Theatre on Saturday 6 April. Now, in the musical's 21st year, the producers are delighted to announce some major cast changes in the London production from Monday 10 June 2019. Mazz Murray, who has previously played Tanya in the London production, will be returning to the musical, but this time as Donna, and Kirsty Hoiles will join her as Tanya. Also new to the musical will be Cameron Burt as Sky, Melissa Nettleford as Ali, Sophie Matthew as Lisa, Taylor Bradshaw as Eddie and Danny Nattrass as Pepper. They will be joining Ricky Butt as Rosie, Richard Trinder as Sam, Neil Moors as Harry, Stephen Beckett as Bill and Lucy May Barker as Sophie. Caroline Deverill continues to play the role of Donna at certain performances.

VACNJ Celebrates Success of Pop! Goes The Gala

On Saturday, April 6, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey held its largest fundraising event of the year at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. Pop! Goes the Gala was on trend with a pop-art theme and raised more than $220,000 to support the Art Center's innovative programs, including community outreach and scholarships for at-risk youths and under-served families.

The new musical, based on the Warner Bros. film Bronco Billy, features a book by Dennis Hackin, lyrics and music by Chip Rosenbloom and John Torres, with additional lyrics by Michele Brourman. Hunter Bird will direct. Preview performances begin on May 10, with the official press opening on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Rabb announced today that Hunter Theater Project will present Golden Globe Award-winning actress-filmmaker Isabella Rossellini in her one-woman, one-dog theatrical evening, Link Link Circus.
