Nearly 40 years ago, Stephen Sondheim's bent-on-revenge barber, Sweeney Todd, sliced his way into the canon of musical theatre. The multi-award-winning Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is next up on the Segerstrom Stage at South Coast Repertory, Jan. 19-Feb. 16. Kent Nicholson directs the production. On Friday, October 26, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey held its annual fall fundraising event, Bourbon Bash: Going Hog Wild for Art, with the unique theme contributing to a fun party atmosphere in the Art Center studios and galleries. Nearly $30,000 was raised through a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships, and revenue from a silent art auction featuring work created by outsider and self-taught artists.

Rob Marshall, Oscar-nominee, DGA and Emmy-award winning filmmaker, producer, theater director and choreographer whose films have consistently reflected the highest quality of production design, will receive the prestigious Cinematic Imagery Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) at its 23 rd Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards. The 2019 Awards, themed 'Production Design: Landscape of the Imagination,' will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and will honor the prestigious spectrum of Marshall's extraordinary award-winning work. The announcement was made today by ADG Council Chairman Mark Worthington ADG and Awards Producers Scott Moses ADG and Marco Miehe ADG.
