The Passage Theatre Announces Cast And Creative Team For ALL ONE! THE DR. BRONNER'S PLAY

The Passage Theatre (TPT) is pleased to announce its cast and production team for the world premiere of ALL ONE! THE DR. BRONNER'S PLAY, a commission by Beth Hyland, directed by Sammy Zeisel. ALL ONE! THE DR. BRONNER'S PLAY will play April 17th - May 3rd, 2020 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W Foster Ave. Tickets are currently available at https://www.thepassagetheatre.com/ or in person at Ebenezer Lutheran Church 30 minutes prior to performance. The press opening is Friday, April 17th at 7:30 pm.

Cathy Marston's MRS. ROBINSON to Premiere at San Francisco Ballet

San Francisco Ballet has announced Cathy Marston's next creation for the Company: Mrs. Robinson, inspired by the 1960s American novella and film The Graduate and re-told from the perspective of Mrs. Robinson, one of America's most notorious seductresses. Mrs. Robinson is Marston's second work for the Company; her ballet Snowblind, based on Edith Wharton's novella Edith Frome, premiered to critical acclaim at the Company's 2018 Unbound: A Festival of New Works, with repeat performances in the 2019 Repertory Season and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. Mrs. Robinson will premiere March 24, 2020 at the War Memorial Opera House on Program 05: Ballet Accelerator, which also includes Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson's 7 For Eight and David Dawson's Anima Animus. Performances will run through April 4, 2020.

San Francisco Ballet Will Open 2020 Repertory Season With SPELLBOUND

San Francisco Ballet and Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson will launch the 2020 Repertory Season with SPELLBOUND: SF Ballet's Opening Night Gala on Thursday, January 16, 2020. One of the Bay Area's most anticipated annual events, the Gala, this year chaired by Patricia Dale Roberts, begins with a cocktail reception and black-tie fundraising dinner at San Francisco City Hall at 5 pm. The evening's performance begins at 8 pm and will feature twelve pieces, including three world premieres by current and former members of SF Ballet's Company: Val Caniparoli, Choreographer in Residence Yuri Possokhov, and Myles Thatcher.

The Young Vic's Sold Out Run Of FAIRVIEW Extends

Due to public demand, the Young Vic today announces that the currently sold out production of Jackie Sibblies Drury's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fairview will extend until Thursday 23 January 2020 for six additional performances. These additional performances are on sale now, Friday 6 December, with tickets priced from £10 - £43.

Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson and San Francisco Ballet today announced programming for the 2020 Repertory Season. Building on a heritage of commissioning groundbreaking dance from today's top choreographers, uncovering new choreographic talent, staging modern classics, and preserving the works that make up the canon of classic ballet, the 2020 Season places SF Ballet at the forefront of innovation and preeminence. Highlights include two new SF Ballet commissions by Cathy Marston and Trey McIntyre, and a co-commission with American Ballet Theatre of a work by Alexei Ratmansky; as well as works by George Balanchine, David Dawson, Harald Lander, Edwaard Liang, Benjamin Millepied, Mark Morris, Liam Scarlett, Helgi Tomasson, and Stanton Welch. The Season's three story ballets include Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Wheeldon's Cinderella, and Tomasson's Romeo & Juliet.

20th Anniversary Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition Enters Finals Week

The world's largest student ballet scholarship competition - YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX (YAGP) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary Season, with its NYC Finals held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. The week of ballet festivities will include YAGP's Final Round (April 17th), YAGP's critically acclaimed Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala performance and dinner (April 18th), with a repeat Gala performance on April 19th. Lastly, on April 20th, YAGP will present an International Dance School Festival, where dancers from all over the globe will perform works representing each school's style and artistic tradition, ranging from beloved classics to cutting-edge contemporary dance.
