BAM’s Artistic Director, David Binder will conclude his tenure in 2024 to pursue independent artistic projects on Broadway and elsewhere.

BAM will gather audiences and communities together for a thrilling range of performances in its winter-spring 2023 season.

From one of the world’s most extraordinary creative minds comes BAM’s 2023 spring music series, this year curated by visionary composer and recording artist, Solange Knowles for Saint Heron—her creative arts institution.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch composer Stephen Trask joined former Hedwig on Broadway stars Darren Criss and Lena Hall and music director Justin Craig joined Vulture Festival for an evening of storytelling and song to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the cult-favorite Broadway show, major motion picture, and worldwide phenomenon.

Beginning January 1, 2023, Davóne Tines will join BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) as its first institutional artist in residence in more than a decade. During this time, Tines will deepen and investigate his musical practice by pursuing both independent and BAM-related projects.
