Geffen Playhouse today announced eight productions that will make up its 2019/2020 season, with one additional production to be announced. This marks the second lineup curated by Artistic Director Matt Shakman and the 24th season for the Los Angeles theater. The season will launch Tuesday, August 20, 2019 and run through Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Artists Rep will present the Northwest premiere of The Motherf**ker With the Hat by Stephen Aldy Guirgis, from February 25 through March 30. This hard-hitting, comedic play premiered on Broadway in 2011 starring Chris Rock, making his Broadway debut as Ralph D. and was directed by Anna D. Shapiro. Kevin Jones will direct Artists Rep's production starring Victor Mack as Ralph D. The Broadway production was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Outstanding New Broadway Play, and is currently one of the Top 10 most produced plays in the country.

The critically-acclaimed FURIOUS THEATRE COMPANY will present the second show of their 2013-2014 season, in association with, and direct from its critically-acclaimed run at the ARTISTS REPERTORY THEATRE in Portland, the rolling U.S. premiere of FOXFINDER written by Dawn King and directed by Damaso Rodriguez. FOXFINDER will feature Furious members, Sara Hennessey and Shawn Lee as well as Amanda Soden and Joshua Weinstein and will preview on Wednesday, January 8, Thursday, January 9 and Friday, January 10 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, January 11 at 8:00pm and run through Sunday, February 2 at the Pasadena Playhouse Carrie Hamilton Theatre, 39 S. El Molino Ave. in Pasadena.
