Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig are proud to announce that Kinky Boots, the six-time Tony Award-winning musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), will open its national tour in September 2014 at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Las Vegas (361 Symphony Park Avenue).

High school vocalists from New York and Connecticut will compete on Saturday, June 15 at a regional for the Great American Songbook Vocal Academy & Competition. Sponsored by the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative, the annual endeavor is the only U.S. competition dedicated solely to the music from Broadway, Hollywood musicals and the Tin Pan Alley era of the early to mid-twentieth century.

All of Broadway's biggest stars were on hand at the 67th Annual Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre on Sunday night to celebrate the best of this theatre season! Sunday night's Tony Awards cermony celebrated the best of the 2013 Broadway season, which included standout work by directors, actors, musicians and more. Yesterday, BroadwayWorld celebrated Tonys MVP Lin-Manuel Miranda, and today we count the reasons that we love Cyndi Lauper.

On Tuesday 18 June, the QPAC Choir will present its first major public performance for 2013 - True Colours in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's) Concert Hall. The QPAC Choir is one of Queensland's largest community choirs and since forming in 2008 has performed regularly at QPAC.

In an interview with USA Today, KINKY BOOTS composer and lyricist Cyndi Lauper revealed that she intends to write another musical eventually. The recent Tony Award winner shared that she 'would love to work with Harvey' [Boots' librettist Fierstein] again.'

Ratings for the 67th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS are up from last year, delivering the largest audience since the 2009 telecast.

Last night's Tony Awards was a time of celebration for the Broadway community, and while honoree Larry Kramer recieved the Isabelle Stevenson Award, he wasn't celebrating during his time spent backstge. Michael Musto wrote in OUT that upon seeing Kramer backstage he told him: 'They kept shunting me around. I was supposed to be on in the first segment, but everybody spoke too long, so they kept putting me off. I had to go on during a commercial break. They promised me they'd show a clip on network, but I don't think what they showed was very long.'
