Kinky Boots, from four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book), Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Director & Choreographer), began preview performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on March 3, 2013 and opened April 4, 2013. KINKY BOOTS has been nominated for 12 Tony Awards, including Lauper for Best Original Score. Kinky Boots opened on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on April 4, 2013. In Kinky Boots, Charlie Price (Tony Award nominee Stark Sands) has suddenly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola (Billy Porter). A fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos, Lola turns out to be the one person who can help Charlie become the man he's meant to be. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible... and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world. The cast visited 'The View' earlier today and you can check out their performance of 'The Sex is in the Heel' below!

The Tony Awards have announced the line-up of stars who will take the stage at the the 67th Annual Tony Awards. The 2013 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on CBS, on Sunday, June 9th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Harvey Fierstein has written Tony nominated musicals for the past two seasons, and according to an interview with the Observer, there is a play on the way for next spring. A still-untitled new play will come to Broadway in Spring 2014. He told the Observerer: 'I wrote the role for myself, but it's an ensemble piece, a cast of nine. I would like to play it, but I think I hurt A Catered Affair by being in it. I think I threw the balance off because I was the playwright-and I actually wrote that role for Joel Grey, too. It's an ensemble so the focus should not be on my character.'

Ross School will host the tenth annual Live @Club Starlight benefit to raise funds for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J.
