City Parks Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2019 season of Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, New York City's largest free outdoor performing arts festival, bringing nearly 100 free and benefit shows to Central Park and 17 neighborhood parks throughout the five boroughs. This year's festival will showcase 200 renowned artists and rising stars from around the world to local neighborhood parks, presenting distinctly New York genres -- salsa, jazz, and hip-hop -- alongside indie, reggae, Afrobeat, soul, contemporary dance, and much more. Newport Festivals Foundation (NFF), which is partnering with Newport Jazz and Folk Festival artists to donate on their behalf to a music education cause of the artist's choosing, is teaming up with 2018 Newport Jazz Festival performer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and Conn-Selmer to present a Master Class and donate $10,000 worth of instruments to McDonogh 35 Senior High School, 4000 Cadillac Street in New Orleans.

Drummer John Densmore, a founding member of The Doors, is confirmed to perform with LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the orchestra in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Opening Night Concert: California Soul, Thursday, September 27. Densmore will perform a classic California song by The Doors, L.A. Woman, on a program dedicated to the music of California to launch the orchestra's Centennial season. Park City Institute kicks off the Independence Day holiday, with its traditional July 3rd concert, presenting GRAMMY winning band, Los Lonely Boys, at the Quinn's Junction Sports Complex Fields. “Los Lonely Boys' brand of blues-infused Texican rock, is just right for celebrating our first first pop-up concert of the 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series,” said Teri Orr, Park City Institute Executive Director. “Our community has a lot to celebrate, and this band knows how to throw a party.”
