Last night, The New Mastersounds returned to the stage during Suwanee Rising for the first of many upcoming live appearances scheduled throughout the US. 2019 marks the band's 20 year anniversary of creating music together, and they alluded to some exciting plans to mark the occasion.

Newport Festivals Foundation (NFF), which is partnering with Newport Jazz and Folk Festival artists to donate on their behalf to a music education cause of the artist's choosing, is teaming up with 2018 Newport Jazz Festival performer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and Conn-Selmer to present a Master Class and donate $10,000 worth of instruments to McDonogh 35 Senior High School, 4000 Cadillac Street in New Orleans.

Christian McBride, Artistic Director of the Newport Jazz Festival presented by Natixis Investment Managers, today announced the Second Wave of artists. With more than half of these groups making their NJF debut as headliners, the 2019 festival takes place August 2-4 at Fort Adams State Park and the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino.

Powerful pianists, singing storytellers, swinging big bands, a beat scientist and some of the baddest ensembles on the jazz scene make up the First Wave of artists announced today for the 65th edition of the Newport Jazz Festival presented by Natixis Investment Managers. Curated by Artistic Director Christian McBride, the Festival takes place August 2-4 at Fort Adams State Park and the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel ushered in the orchestra's Centennial season with a celebratory Opening Night Concert & Gala, California Soul, Thursday, September 27, 7 pm, at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The festive evening featured singers Chris Martin of Coldplay, who brought Dudamel and the LA Phil's YOLA musicians to the 2016 Super Bowl, and Corinne Bailey Rae, who performed at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this year.

Celebrating 100 years of outstanding musical achievements and looking ahead toward its next century of artistic innovation, the Los Angeles Philharmonic will launch its Centennial season - the most ambitious in the orchestra's history -with a full week of special events and concerts.

Drummer John Densmore, a founding member of The Doors, is confirmed to perform with LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the orchestra in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Opening Night Concert: California Soul, Thursday, September 27. Densmore will perform a classic California song by The Doors, L.A. Woman, on a program dedicated to the music of California to launch the orchestra's Centennial season. Additional classic songs of California will be announced from the stage.    

Singer and pianist Kandace Springs has released her remarkable second album Indigo (Blue Note), a 13-track LP of originals and choice covers that showcases the full breadth of Kandace's artistry from smoldering R&B ('People Make the World Go 'Round' '6 8') to gorgeous jazz ballads ('Unsophisticated' featuring Roy Hargrove) to the pop songcraft of 'Breakdown' and 'Don't Need The Real Thing.' All but two tracks are produced by drummer/producer Karriem Riggins (Common, Erykah Badu) with additional production by Jamie Hartman (Rag'n'Bone Man), Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae), Jimmy Harry (Madonna, P!nk), and Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken (Rihanna). UK natives CAEZAR have announced their much-anticipated debut EP 'HAIL!' and have just shared their exciting new single with the world, titled 'Hold On'. The group will be making their release through RG Records and have had the pleasure of having Justin Broad on board as the producer for this latest project, who has produced for names such as Jessie J, Emeli Sandé, Izzy Bizu and Corinne Bailey Rae. 'HAIL!' also boasts mastering by formidable mastering engineer Stuart Hawkes, who's work on artists such as Amy Winehouse, Clean Bandit, Rudimental and has been indispensable to pop music the world over. Multitalented R&B singer/songwriter/musician, Corinne Bailey Rae, will perform on Friday, August 10, 2018, part of the 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series. The performance will be held at City Park, at 6:00 P.M.

Park City Institute Executive Director Teri Orr, announced the approval of City Park as the home of the six remaining 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series, by Park City City Municipal Corp. City Council.

Park City Institute kicks off the Independence Day holiday, with its traditional July 3rd concert, presenting GRAMMY winning band, Los Lonely Boys, at the Quinn's Junction Sports Complex Fields. “Los Lonely Boys' brand of blues-infused Texican rock, is just right for celebrating our first first pop-up concert of the 2018 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series,” said Teri Orr, Park City Institute Executive Director. “Our community has a lot to celebrate, and this band knows how to throw a party.”
