Clifton Duncan (The Play That Goes Wrong) stars as Philip ‘Pip’ Nickleby. 2020 Tony winner Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill) stars as Dawkins. The production also features Patrick Page, Carolee Carmello, and Danny Burtsein.

The reading on June 11 is closed to the public.

Today, Red Bull Theater announced a very special benefit reading of  Ben Jonson’s classic comedy, Volpone, or The Fox directed by Jesse Berger, Red Bull’s Founder and Artistic Director. First produced by Red Bull Theater in 2012, this new version will feature emendations & elaborations by director Berger and playwright Jeffrey Hatcher.

Producers Gerald Goehring, Michael F. Mitri, and Carl Moellenberg announced today that the workshop for the first-ever revival of the Tony Award-winning musical, The Secret Garden, will be presented on the industry-leading streaming platform, Broadway on Demand from May 6 at 8pm ET through May 9. 

Estella Scrooge has several strong elements: a talented cast giving it their all, catchy music, and witty lyrics. But an inconsistent tone and too many wink-wink references prevent the album from becoming more than the sum of its parts.
