On April 4, 2016, Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre honored the Broadway librettist John Weidman(Assassins, Pacific Overtures, Road Show) with the company's seventh Stephen Sondheim Award. The award, established in 2009 in honor of America's most influential musical theater writer and composer, was presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy. The Sondheim Award Gala benefited Signature Theatre's artistic, education, and community programs. Check out photos below!

Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of Do I Hear a Waltz?, the romantic, rarely-seen 1965 musical that marked the only collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim. Do I Hear a Waltz? will star Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, Sarah Hunt, Zachary Infante, Cass Morgan, Richard Poe, Michael Rosen, Sarah Stiles, and Richard Troxell. The ensemble includes Kristine Bendul, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Jenny Laroche, Jennifer Locke, Nathan Madden, Skye Mattox, Devin Roberts, Manny Stark, and Alex Wong.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Claybourne Elder on February 19, 2016. In this candid show, Clay won't just sing show tunes and share reminiscences about the theater, but also reflections on travel, adventure, romance - along with what it felt like to get shot in the head eight times a week in Bonnie and Clyde and playing a 19 year-old at 32 on television. He'll bring along some bizarre mementos from his career to show-and-tell and open up about his life growing up in rural Utah as a Mormon. Get intimate with one of New York's favorite theatre personalities in this hilarious and heartfelt solo debut.

New musicals are now more available than ever, and especially now with the release of the opening number, titled 'Famous,' from BRADLEY COLE, THE MOVIE MUSICAL, out online today. Check it out below!

Popular up-and-coming writer and performer Tim Realbuto, who is most know for co-creating the musical GHOSTLIGHT and for a string of concerts called WUNDERKIND, highlighting his life growing up in show business, has announced his next concert venture. The show is called TIM REALBUTO IS INAPPROPRIATE and it will play on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 PM at NYC hotspot The Cutting Room.

Building on the success of its inaugural season, the A Night on the Town performance series will return in 2016. The first edition is schedule for January 14-17 and will feature Broadway star Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde). The performance series continues March 17-20 and will feature film and stage star, Heather MacRae (Hair, Falsettos).

Musical Theatre Factory in association with The Chelsea Symphony presented a gala concert event 'Get Yourself Some New Orchestrations,' the launch of an exciting new series which pairs emergent musical theatre writers with Broadway orchestrators to commission stunning new orchestrations of their shows. 'New Orchestrations,' took place at Merkin Concert Hall (129 W 67th St) on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 8PM. BroadwayWorld has photos from the red carpet below!
