On April 20, 2015, Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Debra Monk will join Brynn O'Malley, Claybourne Elder and Donna Migliaccio to honor renowned Stephen Sondheim collaborator James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Passion).

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 30th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST, and hosted by Emmy-nominated actors Anna Chlumsky (“Veep,” Broadway's Living on Love) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“Modern Family,” this summer's The Tempest). This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Eric Rosen today announced casting for the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play by Tony Kushner, Angels in America, to be directed by MacArthur 'Genius' Fellow David Cromer. Angels in America , which transformed the landscape of American theatre when it premiered in 1991, is a riveting, thought-provoking masterpiece about sexuality, identity, religion, and American's history and future, set in the AIDS crisis of the late 1980s.

Dozens of shows celebrated opening nights over the past twelve months, making 2014 a truly epic year in theatre. Classic Stage Company presents its new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's ALLEGRO, directed by Tony Award-winner and CSC Associate Director John Doyle, at CSC (136 East 13th Street) through Sunday, December 14. The official opening night of ALLEGRO is tonight, November 19.

'Into Sweeney Todd's Woods' is a monster mash-up of two landmark musicals by Stephen Sondheim -- Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods -- performed by a wickedly talented cast that includes Joanna Gleason, Chip Zien and Sarah Rice. The presentation is set for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) tonight, November 1, 2014 at 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM.

Uzo Aduba (Broadway's Godspell) currently stars in Netflix's 'Orange is the New Black' for which she recieved an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren.

The original cast recording of VENICE - the new musical produced by The Public Theater - is now available as an online exclusive with a digital booklet through iTunes, Amazon.com and other outlets. The physical CD will be available online and in stores on December 2.
