JCC Manhattan presents the fall season finale of PREformances with Allison Charney on Monday, December 14th at 12:30pm. In this unique concert series, you will hear celebrated classical musicians just before their performances on the world's most prestigious stages removing traditional barriers between performer and audience.

Two-time Grammy Award winner and Emmy winner, Jack Jones, will celebrate Frank Sinatra's birthday with a live interview on Sirius Radio's Siriusly Sinatra, the 24-hour home for all things Sinatra and the Great American Songbook. Grammy Award winning vocalist, Steve Tyrell, will host the three-hour show tonight, December 12, with a variety of special guests, including Jack. Jack is currently aboard the Pacific Princess celebrating Princess Cruises' 50 th anniversary with the original 'Love Boat' cast.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) announces violinist Simone Porter is replacing Stefan Jackiw, who withdrew from the December 12-13 performances due to the flu. Porter, a 19-year-old 'virtuosic' violinist (The Times, London) and recipient of a 2015 Avery Fisher Career Grant, made her professional debut with the Seattle Symphony at age 10 and has appeared with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, among other orchestras. Jackiw expressed that he withdraws 'with much regret.'

Chamber Orchestra of New York, Salvatore Di Vittorio, Music Director, will present Gershwin and Tchaikovsky, with Di Wu, a concert tonight, December 12 - 8:00 PM at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, 57th Street at Seventh Avenue in Manhattan. Soloists will be Di Wu, pianoforte and Thomas Boulton, trumpet.

The New York Tenors celebrated the holiday season last night at Carnegie Hall in an evening of Christmas spirit. All of the proceeds from this performance will go to Fr. Francis Pizzarelli and Hope House Ministries to support their efforts to help the lives of broken young people. The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is receiving a 2016 Art Works award from The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to help fund a community engagement project centered on Hiraeth, a new work by Princeton composer Sarah Kirkland Snider. The work was co-commissioned by the PSO in honor of its 35th anniversary celebrating the creativity of women, a tribute to Ms. Snider's first teacher and founding artistic director of the PSO, Portia Sonnenfeld.

Oakland, CA, December 10, 2015—Music Director Michael Morgan and the Oakland Symphony continue their annual exploration of world orchestral music traditions this season with Notes from Vietnam, Friday, February 12, 2016, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre. Featured will be Emmy Award-winning composer performer Vân-Ánh Võ, who will give the world premiere of her Lullaby for a Country, performing on the ?àn tranh (Vietnamese zither), ?àn B?u (monochord), and vocals. In addition, TV and Broadway star and filmmaker Michael Urie (Ugly Betty, Modern Family) will narrate Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Completing the program will be Dvo?ák's Carnival Overture. The Symphony's Notes from . . . series has become a popular mainstay of the Bay Area music scene and annually explores symphonic music both new and traditional from cultures that may be less well known to audiences. Past Notes from . . . programs have focused on music from Mexico, Persia, the Philippines, China and the Middle East, among others. Free lobby entertainment, no-host drinks and pre-concert talk begin at 7 pm.
