To begin the 2023-24 season, Forward Theater Company will present The Garbologists by Lindsay Joelle. Directed by Jen Uphoff Gray. Performances are in the Playhouse at Overture Center for the Arts, September 7-24. This production will kick off Forward's 15th anniversary celebration. 

This weekend, The Normal Anomaly Initiative, Inc. will be presenting a workshop production of STRAPPED, which follows seven strangers as they navigate conversations surrounding intimacy, trauma, and sex. We spoke with co-writers Bryan-Keyth Wilson and Dr. Arelia Johnson to learn more about this upcoming show!

The Normal Anomaly Initiative, Inc., a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to assisting Black, queer+ people with overcoming barriers and ending stigmas and problematic narratives, is proud to announce casting for the Workshop Production of sTrapped, a new play by Dr. Arelia Johnson & Bryan-Keyth Wilson. Wilson will also direct the piece which follows seven strangers as they navigate conversations surrounding intimacy, trauma, and sex. 

The Music Institute of Chicago Chorale, conducted by Daniel Wallenberg with Gregory Shifrin on piano, concludes its 2021–22 season with From Africa, a free concert Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m. at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston. The performance also will be available via livestream.
