IF/THEN Cast Will Reunite at 54 Below This Summer

On June 24, 54 Below will host a celebration of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s 2014 Broadway musical IF/THEN. Join original Broadway cast members as they share memories from the production, as well as sing from the beautiful Tony Award-nominated score once again for New York audiences.

From the moment her iconic voice could be heard singing a gentle ballad version of 'Que Sera Sera' from off-stage the audience could feel that familiar warmth of authenticity fill the entire theatre.  A friend, an ally, a spiritual powerhouse of talent was about to enter. When the gorgeous 4'11' frame dressed in a navy blue sequin knee-length dress, and silver three-inch bejeweled platform heels walked into the spotlight she was greeted by thunderous applause. With every word she sang of the 1956 Doris Day hit it felt like a large invisible hand reached out and captured all 1,127 people in attendance; we gladly remained there for the duration of the evening.

The 4'11' powerhouse exploded onto the Broadway stage at The Nederlander Theatre, for her limited 8-performance run of FOR THE GIRLS, this weekend, to packed houses. At then end of the shows, the audiences would not leave, even as the doors were opened to the streets and the diminutive star was forced to return to the stage for more.
