Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for April -their popular directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams have 50% of the positions filled with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) artists (directors, designers, and playwrights). 

This summer, the Bard Music Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary season with a two-week, in-depth exploration of 'Korngold and His World.'

Casting Complete for A Classic Theatre's production of RIPCORD St. Augustine, FL- A talented cast of 6 actors will be featured in A Classic Theatre's production of David Lindsay-Abaire's hilarious new comedy, Ripcord. It's a battle of wits between two feisty roommates at an assisted living facility with nothing in common but a rivalry to make Bette Davis and Joan Crawford look like amateurs. 

If standing ovations are one of the major parameters of a successful play, Hattie's Big Night would be deemed a crowd pleasing hit. The new show by Houston Playwright Vincent Victoria and produced by his company Vincent Victoria Presents, had its World Premiere on February 1 and has had audiences on their feet during the curtain call for each performance.

Die, Mommie, Die! the UK premiere finds a killer cast.

Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance present the Martha Graham Dance Company in the EVE Project, Friday, January 25 (8 PM) and Saturday, January 26 (2 PM and 7 PM). The EVE Project commemorates the upcoming centennial of the 19th Amendment (which extended the right to vote to American women) with works by all female choreographers, staying true to Graham's tradition of social activism. The program features the Philadelphia premiere of Graham's powerful Chronicle; the first preview performance of Deo, a new work by celebrated choreographers Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith, Graham's Diversion of Angels, and Ekstasis by Graham, reimagined by Virginie Mecene. PlayGround has announced the lineup for its second annual PlayGround Solo Performance Festival, a celebration of the best in Bay Area solo performance, running January 24-February 10 at Potrero Stage. The festival features 12 double-bill performances by 11 local artists over three weeks, including new works by Ron Campbell, Julie Gieseke, Malcolm Grissom, Emil  Guillermo, Michael Phillis, Fred Pitts, Kathryn Seabron, and Talisha Tolliver, as well as special guests Marga Gomez, Matthew Martin, and Nina Wise, with each evening running a little over two hours. PlayGround opens the program to the next generation of performers with a special Open Mic Night on Monday, January 28, at 8pm. The festival, initiated last winter as one of PlayGround's new "pop-up" programs, represents an extension of PlayGround's mission and commitment to the discovery of bold new voices for the stage and the first PlayGround offering fully dedicated to solo performance. Albert Poland, a veteran Broadway producer and general manager, has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to generate funding for a self-published memoir examining Poland's legendary career in theatre.
