BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

In 2008, Reverend Vernon Jackson's Religious Broadcasting Network in Lynchburg Va. presented 'The Gay No More Telethon'. The goal: raise money to turn as many homosexuals as possible straight by the rapture or the 2014 Winter Olympics. Whichever came first. But now with the trump administration, the Supreme Court and the GOP looking to undo several advances made by the LGBTQ community since then, Reverend Jackson has seen the error of his ways and is touring the country to apologize.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, Brian Charles Rooney joins the new musical Reverend Jackson Regrets on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 9:30pm. Brian Charles Rooney, critically acclaimed for his performances in Roundabout's Broadway production of The Three-Penny Opera smash off-Broadway hit Bedbugs and winner of the New York Music Festival award for outstanding actor for his portrayal of Lee/Miss Blanche in Miss Blanche Tells It All, will play Reverend Vernon Jackson (Just like the 7 Train subway stop) in the pre Off- Broadway concert presentation of Reverend Jackson Regrets, an exciting evening featuring the songs of this 2017 Midtown Musical Theatre Festival Best Production winner. We couldn't very well end our 10th season without celebrating pride! And what better way to celebrate than with an Open Mic having friends new and old come wave their freak flags high!

Hi friends! This week we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of the holiday season. A time for giving, caring and gathering with family and friends. And there's nothing quite as magical as the wonder and awe of kids during this festive time. We recent;y gathered some insanely talented Broadway youngsters to belt it out for us at Sessions. We wrangled up Matilda's Talia Ryder, South Pacific vet Lala as well as 3 talented gents who currently star in the great big show at the great big hall over on 6th avenue- Robert Montano, Hunter Kovacs and Will Ehren. Ok ok, we also let some fabulous adults take the mic including Side Show's Josh Walker, Anthony Fett, Colleen Harris, Kate Corsaro and more open mic dazzlers. Enjoy highlights here!

It's been said that you gotta have heart to move to The Big Apple and pursue your dreams on the Great White Way, and boy do these graduates of The Hartt School have it. See what we did there? We heartily welcomed the 2017 graduating class to New York alongside headliners and notable Hartt School alums, Kevin Duda, Douglas Lyons and Anthony Fett! We also had a special guest appearance from West End star, Jason Denton and rising star Amanda Nelson! Watching these grads take the stage at Broadway Sessions really warmed our hearts (ok we'll stop with the heart/Hartt jokes now.) Check it out now!

One of NYC's most colorful and unpredictable open-mic nights -- MOSTLY SONDHEIM -- celebrated its 10th anniversary at The Duplex on Christopher Street, January 23rd, 2015. Click below for highlights from the show!

Mostly Sondheim, the long-running musical theater open mic at The Duplex Cabaret, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Friday January 23rd at 11:30pm. Hosts Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida) and Colleen Harris (Songs at the New World), along with musical director Brian Nash (Silence! the Musical), will welcome past hosts, talented regulars, and open mic volunteers to the stage to commemorate ten years of music and comedy.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre will hold its Winter Benefit on Monday, December 1st at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street). The festive evening entitled 'Catch A Rising Star' will be emceed by legendary Broadway song and dance man Lee Roy Reams and will feature musical performances by eight young up-and-coming Broadway talents. The evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the show at 7:00 p.m.

Mostly Sondheim, the long-running musical theater open mic at The Duplex Cabaret, will celebrate Elaine Stritch with a special tribute tonight, July 18, 2014.

Known as the 'Granddaddy of Interactive Theater,' Tony n' Tina's Wedding set the gold standard for the genre with an all-inclusive two-part event where audience members take on the roles of family and friends of the bride and groom.
