This July, Carnegie Hall will bring together more than 200 of the finest teen musicians from across the country to perform as part of its three acclaimed national youth ensembles: the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are proudly open this June with a full slate of nightly performances! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the Liebman, Brecker, Copland Quintet, Greg Ruvolo Big Band, Yellowjackets, Terraza Big Band, Anita Gillette and Lee Roy Reams, Frank Catalano Quartet, Danilo Perez & His Global Messengers, New London Big Band, Stacey Kent, Ron Aprea Big Band, Linda Lavin and Tuck & Patti.

A multi-generational and globe-spanning supergroup of six female jazz greats, ARTEMIS, performing on the Main Stage at The Broad Stage on Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 PM, conjures a powerful collective voice from this sextet of visionary bandleaders and composers.

Kennedy Center events and performances have been announced for the months of May – June 2022.

The Kennedy Center has announced two free performances at Millennium Stage, featuring Next Jazz Legacy, as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Mary Lou Williams Jazz Festival.

Monterey Jazz Festival is celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2022. Over its long and distinguished history, Monterey Jazz Festival has earned a reputation for paying homage to jazz greats, but also for its focus and passion for new and diverse sounds; 2022 is a reaffirmation of both principles.

Offerman joins previously announced series stars William Jackson Harper and Cristin Milioti, with Skyler Gisondo, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Nina Bloomgarden, Gabriela Cartol rounding out series leads and Ben Sinclair, Parvesh Cheena, Debby Ryan, Dylan Baker, Michael Hitchcock and Becky Ann Baker as recurring guest stars.

William Jackson Harper, Skyler Gisondo, Ben Sinclair and Parvesh Cheena have also been added to the ensemble series, along with previously announced series leads including Luis Gerardo Méndez, Nina Bloomgarden, Gabriela Cartol and recurring guest stars Debby Ryan, Dylan Baker, Michael Hitchcock and Becky Ann Baker.  

Exciting jazz programming is on the slate at Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater running December 13 - December 26. 

The NEC Jazz Orchestra presents Soul on Soul – The Music of Mary Lou Williams on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in NEC’s Jordan Hall, 290 Huntington Avenue, Boston.
