Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Daryl Roth Productions, will soon present Steven Pasquale in the first-ever New York revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's musical comedy The Robber Bridegroom. Joining Pasquale as 'Jamie Lockhart' is Andrew Durand as 'Little Harp,' Evan Harrington as 'Big Harp,' Greg Hildreth as 'Goat,' Leslie Kritzer as 'Salome,' Ahna O'Reilly as 'Rosamund,'Nadia Quinn as 'Raven/Goat's Mother,' Lance Roberts as 'Clement Musgrove' and Devere Rogers as 'Airie/Man.' Darren Criss Joins Betsy Wolfe for BROADWAY TODAY with the New York Pops; Jeremy Jordan Cancels Due to Scheduling Conflict

On Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will continue its 33rd season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today. With guest artists Darren Criss (Glee) and Betsy Wolfe (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), the concert brings the best of Broadway uptown. The program will feature a variety of musical theatre hits. Darren Criss replaces the previously announced Jeremy Jordan, who is unavailable due to a scheduling issue.

Amazon's hit television show, MOZART IN THE JUNGLE kicks off its second season on December 30, 2015. The show follows a fictional (albeit, based in reality) orchestra in New York led by the exciting and controversial Rodrigo de Souza (Gael Garcia Bernal) loosely based on LA Philharmonic conductor, Gustavo Dudamel. The show is based on Blair Tindall's novel of the same name of her experiences with professional classical music in New York and San Francisco. I had the fortune of speaking with Ms. Tindall about her transition from musician to author to TV consultant.

WIDE AWAKE HEARTS to Receive NYC Premiere at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome the US debut of BirdLand Theatre with the NYC premiere of WIDE AWAKE HEARTS, written by Brendan Gall and directed by Stefan Dzeparoski. WIDE AWAKE HEARTS begins performances on Thursday, January 14 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7.  Press opening is Thursday, January 21 at 7:15 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Sunday, January 17 at 7:15 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues).
