The Drama League (Executive Director Gabriel Shanks; Artistic Director Roger T. Danforth) has announced full casting for DirectorFest 2015: The 32nd Annual One-Act Festival, an evening of four short plays staged by the Drama League Directors Project Fall Directing Fellows Estefania Fadul,  Annie Tippe, Sarah Elizabeth Wansley, and Brandon Woolf for a limited 5-performance engagement, December 12 - 15, 2015 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues). 

The New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist and Emmy Award nominated writer Rolin Jones and Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winning Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong's new play with music THESE PAPER BULLETS!, directed by Jackson Gay, begins tonight, November 20, at Atlantic Theater Company.

The Tank (Rosalind Grush and Rania Jumaily, Artistic Directors), a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, will present AN OTHELLO THING, an experimental play that involves abstract language, non-linear storytelling, and an awareness by the performers of their performance. In this play, written by Sean Edward Lewis, a man (Lewis) and a woman (Claire Campbell) carry out violent Othello Experiments in their domestic domain.

The 93rd season of the New York Philharmonic Young People's Concerts (YPCs) will begin on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with the program "Fables and Folktales," the first in this season's series, Once Upon a Time, exploring music inspired by stories, poems, and legends. The season's first concert will feature Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, narrated by Brandon Gill; Richard Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks; and the first performance of selections from the orchestral version of Raphael Mostel's Travels of Babar, Part One: The Honeymoon, accompanied by a digital slideshow of high-resolution scans of Babar author Jean de Brunhoff's watercolors. Joshua Gersen, in his first season as a Philharmonic Assistant Conductor, will make his Philharmonic debut leading the performance, and Vice President, Education, Theodore Wiprud will host the event.

Nach reichlich zweieinhalb Jahren beendete ROCKY - DAS MUSICAL im August seinen erfolgreichen Run im TUI Operettenhaus in Hamburg und siedelte nach Stuttgart um, wo die Produktion am 11. November im Palladium erneut Premiere feierte. Dabei ist die Produktion bei weitem keine Kopie von ROCKY wie es in Hamburg, und 2014 auch am Broadway, zu sehen war. In der Stuttgarter Inszenierung von ROCKY gibt neue Szenen und neue Songs geben: darunter auch der weltbekannte James Brown-Klassiker „Living in America". Crashbox Theater Company announces an extension of its World Premiere production of KITCHEN SINK EXPERIMENT(S) by Colby Day. Director Andrew J Scoville has staged the production in an authentic Brooklyn apartment with a limited audience of 20 per performance.
