The Staten Island Museum presents a major exhibition, Taking Care: The Black Angels of Sea View Hospital opening to the public on January 26, 2024. 

The Staten Island Urban Center presents Music On The Porch featuring DJs from  Staten Island's thriving performing art scene as part of The Trust for Governors Island THIRD Saturdays, a Gov­er­nors Island Arts ini­tia­tive cel­e­brat­ing the Orga­ni­za­tions in Res­i­dence pro­gram. 

The Staten Island Urban Center hosts a free “Island Hopping Music Series” which spotlights musicians from Staten Island's thriving art scene Sunday, August 6 and 20  from 2 p.m - 3 p.m. as part of their  Staten Island Urban Center Governors Island Arts' Organizations in Residence happening which presents free exhibits and activities in the historic houses in Nolan Park and Colonels Row on Governors Island.

The Staten Island Urban Center hosts “We are a Waterfront: From  One Island to Another-Staten Island to Governors Island”  and celebrates with live music, performance, storytelling and participatory art highlighting both island’s clean waterways and ferries that give the public access to waterfronts.

On November 12th, award-winning guest conductor Yaniv Attar takes the podium and presents a program of Baroque and Baroque-inspired music.

The Staten Island Museum hold its annual fundraiser on May 18, celebrating a new era in leadership and honorees that epitomize commitment to community. The honorees are Ralph Branca, Staten Island Museum's immediate past Board Chairman and CEO of Victory State Bank; historian, educator, and professional genealogist Debbie-Ann Paige; and Jee Ra, principal of the Korean School of Staten Island and program director of the Korean Community Development Center. Gala co-chairs are Kashif Pervez and Oswaldo Pena. This year's annual gala is the first under the leadership of recently appointed President and CEO Janice Monger, who began her tenure in September 2017.

Opera Exposures,, Inc, a local 501(C3) created in 2004 by Edna Greenwich as a nonprofit arts organization supporting young and emerging musical artists that is dedicated to developing a diverse audience by performing in affordable venues, has announced its first recital of the Fall season.

Queer Art, the New York-based nonprofit for supporting LGBTQ artists, has just announced the eleven Fellows accepted for the 2017-2018 Queer Art Mentorship program cycle, and the Mentors with whom they will be working.
