The novel which has most influenced the 21st century is brought to the stage in a thrilling new version by Ryan Craig which comes to Theatre Royal Bath from 20 – 28 September 2024, followed by a UK tour to be announced.

Given the emotional investment required on stage and in the stalls, one feels somewhat shortchanged by a production that invites sympathy for a character with few redeeming features

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast of Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes (The Comedy of Errors, Globe), with Ekow Quartey and Amalia Vitale as Benedick and Beatrice.

Oliver Chris will join the previously announced Olivier Award winner Tamsin Greig to play Freddy opposite her portrayal of Hester Collyer in Theatre Royal Bath's production of The Deep Blue Sea, Terence Rattigan's 1950's study of obsession and the destructive power of love. 

Award-winning actor Max Bowden, best known for the roles of Ben Mitchell in EastEnders and Justin Fitzgerald in Waterloo Road, will star as Jack Firebrace in Birdsong, Sebastian Faulks's epic story of love and loss, when it returns to the stage in a brand-new production for 2024, marking the 30th anniversary of the international best-selling novel.
