Since the end of the first lockdown multi-award-winning director Phil Willmott's THE REP has been at the forefront of rethinking every aspect of how theatre is made and marketed in the new climate.

Opening in The Hithe opposite Rotherhithe Station, Rotherhithe and East London Playhouse (THE REP) is a new arts space offering local and London audiences Pay What You Can and free shows, offering culture to those who would not normally be able to afford it.

This December, audiences are invited to share in an adventure of pirates, parrots and priceless booty with Phil Willmott's adaptation of Robert Louis Stephenson's Treasure Island.

A new production of 'Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens, adapted and directed by Phil Willmott ,will be the next production at Rotherhithe Playhouse, with a pay what you can ticket pricing and free tickets for families accessing food banks.

From composer John Robinson (Behind the Iron Mask, Duchess Theatre), with book by Phil Willmott (Once Upon a Time At the Adelphi; Relativity: The Einstein Musical), Lady Chatterley’s Lover is directed by the award-winning Sasha Regan (All-Male Pirates of Penzance, UK and International tours), with production design by Andrew Exeter (High Fidelity, Turbine Theatre) and costume design by Jasmine Swan (Animal Farm, Royal & Derngate).

Lady Chatterley’s Lover will be brought to life by a cast of experienced talent with new up-and  coming star Georgia Lennon (One Enchanted Evening, Glastonbury Abbey; Beauty and the   Beast, Grand Opera House, Belfast) playing the role of Lady Chatterley. Lennon’s voice is not to be missed and this is the chance to catch her in the West End for a strictly limited run before she  goes onto be a regular West End leading lady!

The new musical adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's infamous literary classic, Lady Chatterley's Lover, will come to the West End for a strictly limited run this summer.

Despite Coronavirus, 25-year-old award-nominated actor Beaux Harris continues to dance her way through lockdown and is encouraging others to keep going through her Instagram page and online dance classes, suitable for all age groups.

Since opening at the Union Theatre in February BLITZ! has played to packed houses, but the run must end on 7th March. Directed by Phil Willmott and featuring a stellar cast, the production has not been professionally staged for 20 years and has made a very welcome return to London.

Lionel Bart's BLITZ! is running now at the Union Theatre in Southwark. The new production, directed by Phil Willmott, will run until 7th March 2020 as part of this year's commemoration of the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Othello remains as relevant today as ever it were, Phil Willmott's adaptation setting it in the Raj of 1919, but it's as much in the White House and Palace of Westminster of 2019.
