State Theatre New Jersey has unveiled its 2019-20 Classical Series, featuring five amazing acts. Tickets for the Classical Series are on sale now only via phone and walk-up as part of the State Theatre's Buy More Save More program. 'PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY' first evening concert of the 2017-18 season will feature preeminent musicians Kajsa William-Olsson, Elizabeth Mann, Donna Weng and the ARK trio (soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson, pianist Reiko Uchida) in exclusive preview 'preformances' - anticipating their upcoming appearances on the world's most prestigious stages. The November 27th concert program taking place at 7:30 pm at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center will present works by master composers of the 20th century - Czech composer Bohuslav Jan Martin? and Russian composer Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev as well as new classical works by American contemporary composer Michael Ching.

Mezzo soprano Hyona Kim will join PREformances with Allison Charney classical concert series on November 27th for the second concert of its 2017-18 debut Season at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Ms. Kim joins host and founder soprano Allison Charney in a program which will feature preformances by Royal Stockholm Philharmonic cellist Kajsa William-Olsson who will play Martinu's Cello Concerto, No. 1 as she prepares to perform it with full orchestra later this season; Orchestra of St. Luke's principal flutist Elizabeth Mann who will play Prokofiev's Flute Sonata with pianist Donna Weng in advance of their upcoming concert at Princeton and the ARK trio, who will perform Michael Ching's reimagining's of five of Schubert's classic songs in his cycle Arrangements and Derangements: Interpretations of Schubert.

Cellist Zuill Bailey, artistic director of Mesa Arts Center's Classical Music Inside Out Series, was recognized yesterday with Grammy awards for "Tales of Hemingway" by composer Michael Daugherty. Bailey received Grammy Awards for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Best Classical Compendium. Following the event, Bailey will travel to Mesa, AZ for a week of engagements and performances at Mesa Arts Center, the Arizona Museum of Natural History, Arizona State University, Highland Elementary School and Mesa Express Library.
