DCOTA Invites Design Professionals & Design Enthusiasts to FALL MARKET 2016 Thursday 11/10

DCOTA reminded all design professionals and design enthusiasts that the Design Center of the Americas is hosting FALL MARKET 2016, a full day of design demonstrations and discussions featuring top industry insiders. The FREE event will be held this Thursday, November 10, starting at 9 am.

Consideration, patience, respect and trust are paramount in any professional relationship... yet can be challenging to gain and maintain. Paula Grace Halewski, an interior designer and consultant with Masters Degrees in both Clinical Social Work and Business Administration, will share tools to develop positive communication with clients, customers and colleagues. She will review touch points that are crucial to healthy, productive interactions. Understanding why a relationship derails and what can be done to prevent this, what's in our control and what's not and much more will be discussed in this dynamic, entertaining seminar.

DEDON's Nomadic Designer Daniel Pouzet

FALL MARKET attendees are invited to welcome one of Paris's most intriguing, award-winning designers, Daniel Pouzet. Throughout his diversified and amazing career, Pouzet's creativity can be admired on a global scale, in numerous countries. His wide array of projects include architecture, interior design, product design, installation art, graphic design/illustration, and international humanitarian work. His fantastic, nomadic journeys have generated creative collaborations with other world-renowned designers to create iconic works of design. Most notable of these works are the Omnilife Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico (with Jean-Marie Massaud), Sanderson/St. Martin's Lane in London (with Philippe Starck) and DEDON's iconic Nestrest (with Fred Frety). Following the presentation, attendees are invited to stay for French-inspired desserts, wine and a taste of barefoot luxury with their favorite DEDON collections.
