PAMM Raises More Than $1 Million At Art Of The Party, Presented By Valentino


On Saturday, March 9, Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) welcomed nearly 500 cultural philanthropists, artists, civic leaders, and arts supporters for the fifth annual Art of the Party presented by Valentino. PAMM's biggest fundraiser event of the year honored renowned artist Christo and philanthropists Dorothy and Aaron Podhurst, who have been longtime supporters of PAMM since its inception 35 years ago. The event raised over $1 million, with all funds directly supporting the museum's robust arts education program, the largest program of its kind outside the Miami-Dade County school system.

Gen Y Productions announces the world premiere of Spring at the Willowbrook Inn, a new play by Jonathan Van Dyke and Doug Evans - starring legendary actor, activist and athlete Greg Louganis - will play a limited engagement at the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts January 28 through February 14.

SPRING AT THE WILLOWBROOK INN, a new play by Jonathan Van Dyke, will receive an industry reading in New York on November 19 and 20, 2014, starring four-time Olympic champion Greg Louganis (Jeffrey), Sean McDermott (Miss Saigon, Silence! The Musical), Jason Patrick Sands (Chicago), and Justin Lore (Forbidden Broadway, Disney's Finding Nemo). Directed by Scott Wojcik and conceived by Doug Evans, SPRING AT THE WILLOWBROOK INN is the winner of the Outstanding Production Award as well as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play (Jason Patrick Sands) at the Fresh Fruit Festival 2012.

Last season, Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein was reborn as a highly anticipated new musical opening at off-Broadway's 37 Arts. On Thursday, September 4th, company members of Frankenstein the Musical reunited for a CD release celebration at The Irish Rouge located at 365 West 44th St.
