Deysha Nelson BIO

Deysha Nelson is an 12 yr old actress/model/designer/dancer and spokesperson that started her career at the tender age of 5. She made her first TV appearane at the age of 5 as a Kerry Washington look alike for Toddlewood and was featured on E News, Inside Edition and Huffington Post. By the age of 6 she acted in her first stage play, The Urbanior Project, did her first well known TV Show Law & Order, played a lead role in her first web-series for UCB Comedy "Uncle Tony", started her clothing line & debuted during NYFW, was a featured dancer on a TV show called Party Rockers and had her first television interview on Comcast for her accomplishments.


TV:
Deysha landed a role in the Comedic Netflix film called Holiday Rush. In December of 2018 Deysha had a guest starring role as Hannah on the new Hit CBS TV show God Friended Me. In 2017 Deysha had a featured role as "girl" on the very popular Netflix Show Jessica Jones. She was a featured regular on the Sprout TV show called Sunny Side Up and she was also featured on The Good Night Show. She was a guest on the Fox Harry Connick Jr Show for her clothing line. She interviewed with Q on the Fox as well as Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley on Good Day Philadelphia.
VOICE OVER WORK:
Ending 2018 Deysha wrapped her year long project with Nickelodeon as a voice over for the animated TV Show & app called Tot Cop for her role as Kangaruthie AKA Officer Ruth which is currently running in the UK. Some of her other VO work was as the opening voice on the 1st episode of Little Big Shots, as Gina Giant on the Nick Jr show Wallykazam, Curious World Melia & Jo and Sprout TV Superwings.
Modeling and Designing:
Deysha started working as a fashion model at the age of 5. She has walked the runway for an array of designers in over 30 fashion shows including New York Fashion Week, Small Boutique fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion Week, Harrisburg Fashion Week, AIMS2K16/17/18 and many more. Deysha also started her own Clothing Line called Almond Eyez Designs at the age of 6 & debuted her line during NYFW at Fachion Block Runway Show. She was the youngest designer to ever showcase during that time. Since then she was flown out to LA with her twin sister to sit on the couch and interview with Steve Harvey for the show Little Big Shots and her designs has since shown in 12 shows in 5 different states and have been featured in 6 magazines. Deysha also received Wardobe film credit on a Feature called Beyond My Skin, she dressed some of the child actors in her designs.
Theatre:
in 2018 Deysha was in 2 stage plays simultaneously while also filming a short film. She played the smart but sweet Hedvig in the award wining stage play The Wild Duck which ran for 2 months at the Quintessence Theatre and she was given rave reviews from some of the top Broadway critics in the business. During that time she also played Abigail in the intense stage play More than Meets the Eye in New Jersey which was nominated for an award. In early 2017 she graced the stage as Devine in the dramatic, tear jerking play called Brownsville Song (B-Side for Tray) which ran for 3 months in Sarasota, FL. and was given great reviews. Then when she returned back to PA she played the role of Imani for the 2nd time in the whimsical stage play Princess Nylah and the Journey to the Magic Window. In 2016 Deysha played the role of Ameera in the emotional stage play Forbidden Love.She has worked with amazing directors, all which have received a lot of media attention.
Commercials and more:
Summer of 2018 Deysha was flown to Indiana to film and do voice over work for a bullying curriculum that she is proud to be the face of and this program will be implemented into certain schools within the next year. Deysha has also filmed 2 national commercials during her career. The first being a Summer Splash Lipton Iced Tea Commercial and the other a Philadelphia Zoo commercial. At the age of 6 Deysha was chosen to be a dancer on a local television dance show called Party Rockers and then at the age of 8 after being recognized for her dance moves she was cast to be a background dancer for a Disney Radio artist and went on a 4 state tour over a 3 month time span. Deysha has also filmed over 25 webisodes and short films in her short career. She has done many toy infomercials for the well known company Alex Toys and more. She became the face of I.C.A.R.E Academy at the age of 7 and through them she had her interview with Mike Jerrick of Fox 29, she interviewed movie goers during the controversial movie Selma, she spoke at events and she co-hosted a National Muslim day event.
