The National Theatre and Wales Millenium Centre have announced the full cast for Nye as the company begins rehearsals. Tim Price's (Teh Internet is Serious Business) new play directed by Rufus Norris (Small Island), charts the life of Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and his battle to create the NHS. Michael Sheen is cast as Nye in this co-production between the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre.

Rose Theatre and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres in association with Swinging The Lens have announced full casting and further creative team for William Shakespeare's Richard III, directed by and starring Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury in Bridgerton). 

London’s newest performing arts venue, Marylebone Theatre, has launched with a world premiere directed by Tim Supple.  Marylebone Theatre, near Baker Street, intends to carve out a special place on the London cultural scene as a beautiful and grand but intimate setting offering cross-arts programming with theatre, music, dance and spoken word.

Marylebone Theatre presents a realisation of an unfinished, visionary work by Friedrich Schiller. Dmitry (based on the peerless dramatist’s incomplete play Demetrius), will launch the bold new venue’s inaugural season and will star The Crown’s Tom Byrne (The Crown, Netflix; Twelfth Night, RSC; Black Mirror, Netflix) in the title role. Theatr Clwyd today announces the cast for the world première production of acclaimed playwright Katherine Chandler's A Pretty Sh*tty Love. Inspired by true events of a woman buried alive by her abusive partner that shook Wales and reverberated around the world, Francesca Goodridge directs Danielle Bird as Hayley and Daniel Hawksford as Carl. In this dynamic new play, Hayley and Carl journey through complexities of love and life, dreaming of love, living in fear and finding the strength to pull yourself out.

Charlotte Gwinner directs Michelle Duncan (Bea), Charlotte Emmerson (Alex), Daniel Hawksford (Dewi), Charlotte Lucas(Kate), Timothy Knightley (Simon), Steven Meo (Vinnie) and Joshua Sinclair-Evans (Liam). The production opens tonight 3 November, with previews from 29 October, and runs until 14 November at Sheffield Theatres, ahead of a run at Orange Tree Theatre from 26 November to 19 December.

A cast of ten will play the Greeks and Trojans, alongside local Llanelli teenagers as the unruly Greek gods - impulsive, vengeful, sex-mad and status-obsessed.

Crouch, Touch, Pause, Engage - the critically-acclaimed play about Gareth Thomas, the first professional rugby player to come out while still playing - comes to Arcola Theatre this spring (20 May - 20 June 2015) following its current tour. Directed by Max Stafford-Clark, and written by Robin Soans, the play is a co-production by Out of Joint, National Theatre Wales and Arcola Theatre.

Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.
