C. Kelly Wright  is a New York City native actress, singer, dancer whose greatest love is found developing new works. Wright has given voice to development of Broadway shows: from Memphis to Mountaintop. Musically Wright has also developed with Andrew Lippa, Georgia Stitt, Joe Di Pietro & David Bryan, Taj Mahal & David Murray et.al. Wright has also voiced many works of playwrights Marcus Gardley, Nambi Kelley (Native Son, Jazz), Nilan Johnson, Nina Mercer, Larry Powell, Philana Omorotionmwan, Aurin Squirer and Douglas Lyons to name only a few. Wright makes time for full productions and recently starred in Colman Domingo’s Wild With Happy at (Pittsburgh’s City Theatre) as well as the West Coast Premiere of Nambi Kelley’s Native Son (Marin Theatre Co.). Wright has received much acclaim for her work Off-Broadway and in regional houses across the country, including Langston in Harlem (Urban Stages, Off-Broadway), Party People (Berkeley Repertory), The Scottsboro Boys (West Coast, Old, Globe, A.C.T., Amhamson CTG) and Black Pearl Sings! (Interact, Philadelphia), and Caroline, Or Change (TheatreWorks). Wright’s film work includes Angel Wishes, Everyday Black Man, Black Nativity and Dark Seed. AEA SAG-AFTRA
