Mad Cow Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming run of the classic comedy You Can't Take It With You, by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. You Can't Take It With You is set to open Oct. 2, 2015 in the Harriett Theatre as the first production of Season 19.

The loony comedy You Can't Take It With You, winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for drama, tells a story of young lovers braving the eccentricities of a delightfully oddball family in 1930s New York City. Headed up by the wily patriarch Grandpa Vanderhof, the batty Sycamore clan of snake collectors, ballet dancers, and skyrocket manufacturers is getting ready for its biggest night yet, when young Alice Sycamore has invited her new love Tony Kirby and his parents to dinner. But when the straight-laced Kirbys show up on the wrong night, the real fireworks start to fly.

The cast of You Can't Take It With You features Bobbie Bell as Mr. Kirby, Sheryl Carbonell as Rheba, Lucy Carney as Mrs. Kirby, Sarah French as Alice Sycamore, Robert Johnston* as Tony Kirby, Garrett Jurss as Man 1, Ame Livingston* as Essie Sycamore, Thom Mesrobian as Paul Sycamore, Jamie Middleton as Gay Wellington, Robin Proett Olson* as Penelope Sycamore, Terry Olson as Mr. De Pinna, John Rice as Wilbur C. Henderson, Michael Sapp as Donald, Ron Schneider as Grandpa Martin Vanderhof, and Monica Tamborello as the Grand Duchess Olga. Newcomers to Mad Cow are Toby S. Pruett* as Boris Kolenkhov, Andrew Romano as Man 2, and Charlie Wright as Ed Carmichael.

David Russell returns to Mad Cow to direct You Can't Take It With You. Scenic design is by William Elliott, lighting design is by Erin Miner, sound design is by Rudy Olin, costume design is by Kaylee Nebe, and props are by Lisa Buck.
