Dr. Phillips Center to Offer Solar Eclipse Pop-Up Viewing Location on August 21st

All over the United States, people will turn to the sky on Monday, August 21, 2017 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to watch the moon totally eclipse the sun for the first time in 99 years.

Central Florida will experience the eclipse at 85% totality, and as part of the Orlando Science Center's celebration of the celestial phenomenon, Dr. Phillips Center will offer a pop-up viewing location on the Seneff Arts Plaza, the green space located in front of the arts center in Downtown Orlando. Solar viewing glasses and education information will be offered throughout the event.

This event is free to the public and sponsored by Florida Hospital for Children, Full Sail Labs, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
