Music fans of all ages are invited to spend "Sunday with the Symphony" on Sunday, August 20th at Barnes & Noble in West Melbourne. Presented by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, this fun, family-friendly event will feature live music, musical presentations, ticket giveaways and interactive discussions. The event also marks the start of the BSO's annual book fair.

BSO Music Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore will share insights into the orchestra's upcoming 2017/18 season, including a special glimpse at the BSO's highly-anticipated film-in-concert, Charlie Chaplin's City Lights on November 4th at the King Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to showcasing her carbon fiber violin with live demonstrations, BSO Concertmaster Lisa Ferrigno will also discuss her role with the orchestra and experiences as a professional musician.

Highlighting the event will be live music performed by the BSO string trio. The ensemble will perform light classics, pop tunes, and familiar favorites. As a special treat, the Orchestra will also give the first 50 guests, ages 18 and up, a voucher good for one free ticket to an upcoming BSO concert.

In partnership with Barnes & Noble, the BSO will also host a fundraising book fair which begins with each "Sunday with the Symphony" event and runs for five days after. By using BSO book fair voucher, Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale to the BSO. Vouchers can be found on the BSO's website at BrevardSymphony.com and can also be used to shop online at www.bn.com/bookfairs.

Event begins at 2:00pm and is free to attend. No tickets required.
