BET Star Tiffany Mann Set for Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's DREAMGIRLS

Tiffany Mann, of BET Network's "It's a Mann's World," joins Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's upcoming production of DREAMGIRLS as Effie White. Tiffany is the daughter of Tamela Mann, gospel music singer and star of TNT's "Meet The Browns", BET's "It's A Mann's World," and Bounce TV's "Mann and Wife."

Mann's previous theater credits include SWEENEY TODD with the New York Philharmonic, ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN with ZACH Theater, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Mrs. Cratchit) with Dallas Theater Center, and THE COLOR PURPLE (Celie) with Oklahoma City's Poteet Theatre. Mann studied vocal performance at Oklahoma City University. "I am so thrilled to return to Oklahoma, where I went to school and launched my career," said Mann.

"I worked with Tiffany on a production of SPRING AWAKENING, which I directed back in 2011, and I couldn't wait to bring her to Lyric" said Lyric's producing artistic director, Michael Baron. "She is an incredible talent, and I know she will blow our audiences away with her powerful acting and incredible voice this June."
