America's largest documentary festival runs November 12-19 at the IFC Center (323 Sixth Ave.) in Greenwich Village and Chelsea's SVA Theatre (333 W. 23rd St.) and Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas (260 W. 23rd St.). The 6th annual festival includes 104 feature-length documentaries and has expanded to showcase over 200 films and events overall. Included are 26 world premieres and 16 U.S. premieres, with more than 200 filmmakers and special guests expected in person to present their films. Galas include Nov. 12 Opening Night, MISS SHARON JONES!; Nov. 15 Centerpiece, JANIS: LITTLE GIRL BLUE; and Nov. 19 Closing Night, ONCE AND FOR ALL - all films spotlighting unforgettable women, with Hillary Rodham Clinton attending Nov. 19.

NYC PREMIERE - Despite her Tony-winning performance in Broadway's Grey Gardens, 79-year- old veteran character actor Mary Louise Wilson finds few new opportunities on the stage, so she decides to try teaching acting back in her native New Orleans. As Wilson finds her footing in this new role, she reflects on her long career, the sacrifices she's made and the challenges faced by older actresses in the industry, as bolstered by interviews with such notables as Frances McDormand and Melissa Leo. NYC PREMIERE - Born out of a desire to give voice to a historically marginalized and criminalized workforce, The Red Umbrella Diaries turns the spotlight on seven diverse New Yorkers as they take the stage at Joe's Pub to tell personal stories about their experiences as sex workers. At turns provocative, illuminating, hilarious and empowering, their stories lay bare the realities of an often-maligned industry, while profiles of the performers offstage lend further insight about their complex relationship to their work.
