The St. Bart's Players presents Company!

The Tony Award-winning show Company features a sophisticated score by Stephen Sondheim and is regarded as a legendary and landmark musical. On the night of his 35th birthday Robert takes a moment to contemplate the current state of his unmarried life. Through a series of memories and daydreams, Robert's quirky, married and engaged friends share the pros and cons of settling down. The habitually single Robert is forced to look at his own life and question what "being alive" really means. The show runs November 10-18th at St. Bartholomew's Church, 325 Park Avenue.

St. Bart's Playhouse opened its doors for the first time in October 1927, and New York City's longest continuously running, non-profit community theater company, The St. Bart's Players, was born. The group has survived the Great Depression, World War II, and the turbulent Sixties, remaining a sanctuary for those seeking affordable theater. Its continued existence attests to its unequaled endurance in the toughest theatrical city in the world.

Former Artistic Directors of the St Bart's Players include Tom Jones, the librettist and lyricist of The Fantasticks. Many composers, lyricists and playwrights have attended St. Bart's revivals of their works, including: Yip Harburg (Finian's Rainbow); Betty Comden and Adolph Green (On the Town); Charles Strouse (Applause); Sheldon Harnick (Fiorello!, New Faces of 1952 and She Loves Me); Mary Rodgers (Once Upon a Mattress); Clark Gesner (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown); and Rupert Holmes (Finian's Rainbow). Steven Press, who played Peter van Daan in the first Broadway-adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank, was the director of the Players' 2004 production of The Diary of Anne Frank.

Company is directed by Phillip Fazio, with musical direction by Adam Bokunewicz. The cast features Jeff Leatherwood, Monica Howe, Miles Lott, Lendsey Kersey-von Krueger, Tom Schrank, Katy Lynn Patterson, Zachary Dworken, Marissa Ranalli, Alex Farlow, Stephanie Weiss, James Neufeld, Lauren Shakra, Marielena Logsdon and Eileen Hanley.

The show runs for eight performances from November 10-18; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 pm, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, November 12th at 2pm. Tickets prices are $20-27, with special group rates. Order by phone 212-378-0248, in person at St. Bartholomew's Church lobby, Park Avenue at 50th street, or online:(stbarts.isecuresites.com/group/company).
