Prospect Theater Company Presents WITH GLEE 7/10-8/1

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents the third and final production of its 2009-2010 season, With Glee, a new musical comedy about five teenage boys in their freshman year at boarding school. With book, music, and lyrics by John Gregor and directed by Igor Goldin (Yank!), With Glee will be presented at The Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) from July 10-August 1, 2010. Performance schedule varies, please see calendar below. Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $22 for students (with valid ID) and can be purchased in advance by calling (212) 279-4200 or by visiting www.TicketCentral.com. (Service charges will apply.) Tickets may also be purchased at the Theatre Row Box Office from noon until 8pm daily. With Glee runs 90 minutes, no intermission.

With Glee features performances by Christopher Davis Carlisle, Jason Edward Cook, Greg Horton, Erin Jerozal, Dan Lawler, and Max Spitulnik. Scenic design is by Jen Price Fick, costumes by Tricia Barsamian, and lighting by Cory Pattak.

With Glee is a new, old-fashioned musical comedy about five wayward, eccentric, isolated, awkward, sweet, naive, nerdy teenage boys who are sent away to a boarding school in Maine. As they revel in the trials of their freshman year-striving for acceptance, friendship, and normalcy-we are reminded that every life must be lived to its fullest, every song sung with glee. With Glee was previously presented in a workshop by the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University, as well as the New York Musical Theater Festival. Also, Prospect is proud to announce its upcoming fall 2010 New York premiere production of Once Upon a Time in New Jersey, by two creators of Prospect's 2006 musical Iron Curtain, composer Stephen Weiner and bookwriter / lyricist Susan DiLallo. This Italian-American fairy tale is set in 1956 Hoboken, New Jersey, and takes place in a deli, where a sandwich-maker named Vinnie is in love with a counter girl named Angie... but Angie loves Rocco, the local hunk. When Rocco runs afoul of a thug named Billy, Vinnie swaps identities with him for a chance with Angie, setting in motion a series of hilarious misunderstandings and escapades. Directed by Cara Reichel, the production will premiere in October 2010 at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 West 26th Street).

About the Artists
John Gregor (book, music, and lyrics) wrote the score and co-wrote the lyrics for PInkalicious the Musical. PInkalicious has played to sold out audiences Off-Broadway at the premiere theater, New World Stages. It is currently in its fourth year Off-Broadway at The Bleecker Street Theatre, recently began an open-ended run in Toronto. John also received a 2004 Frederick Loewe Award for With Glee, for which he wrote the book, music and lyrics. John's musical adaptation of Gogol's tragicomic short story The Overcoat has been presented in London at the Bridewell Theatre, the Barrington Stage Company and The New York International Fringe Festival. He has also co-written several children's musicals for Vital Theatre Company, including The Changeling and The Bully, now on national tour. Further, his works include The Mask of the Dancing Princess, Calling All Toys and The Nastiest Drink in the World. A graduate of Emerson College in Musical Theatre, John received his Masters in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
