Pivotal Productions to Join Staten Island Non-Profit Theatre Community; Launch Party Set for 3/1

After a year of diligent and unending preparation, Pivotal Productions will be the newest organization to join the Staten Island non-profit theatre community.

Pivotal Productions is a education-based non-profit theatre organization offering internship opportunities to college students interested in both the creative and administrative aspects of theatre. Our model strives to give students meaningful hands on experiences in all facets required to run a theatre. The organization provides an avenue to explore the roles within in the inner workings of a theatre organization, attributed to an internship based business model. The students will 'shadow' their respective staff member before getting the opportunity to put on an entire performance of their own with the guidance from the Pivotal Productions team. The artistic vision of the organization is to bring authenticity and legitimacy back to theatre, performing scores and scripts as written with guest student instrumentalists from the community.

The product of two former Wagner College students, William Aberle (President) and Christopher Sabol (Vice-President), through their frustration with the lack of creative internships in the arts combined with their genuine passion for theater, Pivotal Productions was born. Founding members of the organization are all former Wagner College students who strive to share their expertise while inspiring students within the arts.

Pivotal Productions' launch party will be held at Ruddy & Dean on March 1st starting at 10:30p with open bar and live entertainment (44 Richmond Terrace. Staten Island, NY 10301, right across from the Staten Island ferry terminal).
