92YTribeca is 92nd Street Y's downtown arts and culture venue in New York City. Opened in October 2008, 92YTribeca presents music, comedy, film, theater, talks, classes, family events, and Jewish community and holiday programs in a versatile, street-level, modern space at 200 Hudson Street. In addition to the mainstage and screening room, the venue houses an art gallery, lounge, bar, café, seminar and meeting rooms, and free Wi-Fi around the space. With programs developed by a professional curatorial team in partnership with staff, local artists and arts organizations, new-media companies, fellow presenters, and community and cause-based organizations, 92YTribeca aims to engage a diverse community of young people from around the New York area with smart, relevant programming that encourages participation and conversation. WENDY AND THE LOST BOYS: THE UNCOMMON LIFE OF Wendy Wasserstein

Wendy Wasserstein was a Broadway titan and the first female playwright to win a Tony Award. Her inner circle was a who's who of theater elite, including playwright Christopher Durang and former New York Times theater critic Frank Rich. She was also a deeply private person who endured her greatest heartbreaks alone. Author Julie Salamon revisits Wasserstein's greatest works, triumphs and tragedies, and reveals her life in full for the first time. Julie Salamon was a culture writer for The New York Times and the film critic for The Wall Street Journal. She is the author of Wendy and the Lost Boys (Penguin Press HC, August 18, 2011).

In his one-person story-telling show, Dylan Brody brings a comic's wit and a writer's mind to bear as he explores his studies as a martial artist. Carrying his experience as a bullied child into his adulthood as an artist, Mr. Brody stumbles into the martial arts as a tool to fight depression and discovers a way of life that allows him to function beyond the fight-or-flight reactions that have ruled his psyche. Ultimately, Brody's funny and poignant stories bring his audience along on a revealing and human journey to a place where peace becomes possible, where confidence obviates conflict, where the sound of one's own breath is all one needs in order own any moment.

KNOW THE SHOW: AN INSIDE VIEW OF THE FALL THEATER SEASON

Every September, New York audiences eagerly await the edition of The New York Times that announces the upcoming theater season. In this book-club style course, we'll select six shows slated for the season and discuss their creation, the artists involved and the history. The class emphasizes off-Broadway productions, New York's best kept secret-where the work is twice as intimate and the ticket is half the price. There will be an optional opportunity to see a show as a class to enhance our discussions (separate ticket fee). Barrie Gelles is a theater director, college instructor and avid theater goer.

Join for a celebratory look at one of Broadway's and Hollywood's most prolific partnerships-composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein-including live performances, intriguing anecdotes and insider's insights about perennial favorites Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, Carousel and The King and I.

Jeffrey Ernstoff is the former creative director at Radio City Music Hall.

Spencer Tracy

Spencer Tracy, the most revered screen actor of his generation, was also complex and difficult to know. With unprecedented cooperation from Tracy's daughter and complete access to personal papers and journals, biographer James Curtis brings this "actor's actor" to life, shedding light on his 73-picture career, family, faith and decades-long love affair with Katharine Hepburn. Curtis is the author of W. C. Fields, James Whale, Between Flops: A Biography of Preston Sturges and Spencer Tracy (Knopf, October 18, 2011).
