Rehearsals began yesterday for tonight's reading of SIX GOUMBAS AND A WANNABE. The reading will be held at the Westside Theatre in midtown Manhattan and is being produced by Gardenia Productions. Tonight's cast includes noted actor Joe Piscopo, Cara Buono, Jason Kravits, Gianna Palminteri, and former Sopranos cast members Kathrine Narducci, Federico Castelluccio, Jason Cerbone and Michael Rispoli.

Press notes describe SIX GOUMBAS AND A WANNABE as "a hysterical and heartwarming story about the twenty year reunion of a group of "neighborhood guys" with emotional ties and a bond so strong that it makes twenty years seem like only twenty minutes. A wild night in Atlantic City leads the six "Goumbas" (one deceased) and the "Wannabe" to re-live many hilarious moments and reveal a few surprising never heard before secrets from their old Brooklyn days."Playwright Vincent Gogliormella is the nephew of the late actor Vincent Gardenia.

Aruba Productions is the General Manager.
