Photo Flash: In Rehearsal with Queens Theatre and Titan Theatre Company's A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Rehearsals began this week for Queens Theatre & Titan Theatre Company's Co-production of its new stage adaptation of the Charles Dickens' holiday classic. The classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the three transformational visits he endures from spirits of his past, present, and future will run December 11-21, 2014 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, King Lear and Henry V, will direct. "It's a very exciting time around here for everyone involved. It's truly thrilling to see a new adaptation of a classic story come to life." said director Lenny Banovez. "With so many productions of A CHRISTMAS CAROL being produced every year around the country, we are very proud to become a part of that tradition, and to begin that tradition for the Queens community" With a run time of only 90 minutes hours, this 'CAROL' promises to be fun for audiences of all ages this holiday season.

The production stars Broadway's Kevin Loomis* (Spiderman, Turn off the Dark, Inherit the Wind) as Scrooge; John Taylor Phillips* (Titan Resident Acting Company, American Players Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare, Utah Shakespeare) as Bob Cratchit; Laura Frye* (Titan Resident Acting Company, Virginia Shakespeare, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Teatro Franko Parenti) as Christmas Past/Mrs. Cratchit; Michael Selkirk* (Titan Resident Acting Company, Workshop Theatre, Hudson Warehouse) as Mr. Fezziwig/Christmas Present; Dylan Whitrock (Shakespeare & Company) as Fred/Young Scrooge; Andy Baldeschwiler (The Pearl, Shakespeare Theatre on NJ) as Jacob Marley; Bailey Seeker (Titan Young Company, Cherry Lane, Secret Theatre) as Belle/Emily;Shayna Schmidt (Cincinnati Playhouse, Theatre for a New City) as Fan/Martha Cratchit; Jason Zednick; Tom Morin; Wilmari Myburgh and Andrew Mazer. The children's cast includes Layla Moon Blatz, Violet Wade, Quinn Theobald, Moore Theobald, Sohia Fiallo, and Sophie Carpa.

The production features Assistant Direction/Choreography by Nicholas Sotack*, Technical Direction/Scenic Design by Jasmine Nicole, Costume design by Becky Willet and Lighting Design by Alan Piotrowicz. Weston Wetzel is Sound Designer, Production Managers are Annie Jacobs and Alyssa Van Gorder, Ashley Zednick* is the Production Stage Manager. Publicity is by Katie Rosin/Kampfire PR & John Capo.
