Frank Strausser's hit Off-Broadway comedy PSYCHO THERAPY must end its run at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on schedule today, May 26th, 2012 to make way for the previously scheduled Women's Project Theater's production of WE PLAY FOR THE GODS.

PSYCHO THERAPY is a Wishing Well Production, directed by Michael Bush and produced by Barbara Ligeti. The cast features Alexander Cendese (Broadway revival A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE) as Dorian, Obie winner Jan Leslie Harding (THE GREEN BIRD) as Dr. Nancy Winston and Laurence Lau ("All My Children") as Phillip. Gabrielle Miller (multi-award winning actress CTV's "Corner Gas") plays the charming, but chronically conflicted, Lily.

The design team for PSYCHO THERAPY is Michael V. Moore (Set Designer), Amanda Bujak (Costume Designer), Amy Altadonna (Sound Designer), Jeff Croiter (Lighting Designer) and Allison Leyton-Brown (Composer).

This is the second successful run for Strausser's play, which had a limited engagement at the Cherry Lane earlier this year, also featuring Ms. Harding and Mr. Lau along with Angelica Page and Jeffrey Carlson in the roles now being played by Ms. Miller and Mr. Cendese. Plans are in the works for a West Coast production later in the year.

Negotiations are also underway for a motion picture adaptation of PSYCHO THERAPY with Canadian Production Company Nomadic Pictures. LA based Australian transplant, film/TV director Kate Woods, is set to direct the screen version.
