Being priced out of theatre? Falling behind on what's going on onstage in New York? The Off Broadway Alliance has announced that it will sponsor 20at20, the bi-annual celebration of Off Broadway that steeply discounts tickets to many of NYC's most popular shows. The program begins September 14th and continues through October 4th, making $20 tickets available for 31 Off Broadway plays and musicals twenty minutes prior to curtain. Now in its 9th year, 20at20 has become one of New York's most eagerly anticipated promotions for people who want to see exciting shows at steeply discounted prices, making theater accessible to those who might not otherwise be able to afford it. www.20at20.com

The Fall Season is upon us and 20at20 gives everyone, not just students, a chance to check out what's going on Off Broadway, the place where the best is born.

Parents who want to watch their little ones faces light up can chose between a number of well loved shows - Pinkalicious The Musical, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, The Berenstain Bears, and Gazillion Bubble Show. For $20 you can bring your kids, and their friends.

Want to have a night out with the girls - 20@20 gives you a chance to see a show, have a few drinks and go home with change from a $50 at The Imbible, Drunk Shakespeare, Naked Boys Singing, That Bachelorette Show, The New Morality, Sex Tips for a Straight Woman from a Gay Man.

If it's politics and social issues that grab your attention then Black Angels over Tuskegee, In Bed with Roy Cohn and Newsical The Musical may be your fix.

Fans of Downtown Abbey will want to see The New Morality, a play set just before WW1 about the war between the sexes.

There are also a couple of very special revivals of tried and true material, plays that have not been seen for years and should be seen - Mass Appeal, Travels with My Aunt (the show that inspired the musical Mame) and 39 Steps.

MotherStruck is produced by Rosie O'Donnell and directed by Cynthia Nixon.

20at20 is presented by The Off Broadway Alliance (OBA), a non-profit corporation organized by theater professionals dedicated to supporting, promoting and encouraging the production of Off Broadway theater and to making live theater increasingly accessible to new and diverse audiences. The Alliance holds monthly meetings and membership is open to everyone in the Off-Broadway theater community. Among its initiatives, The Off Broadway Alliance sponsors a free Seminar Series focusing on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway featuring major players from the Off Broadway scene.
