Off-Broadway's hit comedy How To Be a New Yorker closes today, August 24th. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, How To Be a New Yorker opened on October 17, 2012 to rave reviews at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square.

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle as they play over 60 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How To Be a New Yorker.

Margaret and Kevin's hilarious new video 'SCUSE ME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN recently debuted on YouTube. 'SCUSE ME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN confronts the stark reality that New Yorkers' daily commute is regularly interrupted by unsolicited entertainment from break dancers, M&M's being sold for kids basketball teams or help for the homeless. What New Yorkers are not accustomed to is being offered a no strings attached gift! And is there anything New Yorker's crave more in the morning than coffee? In the new video, straphangers are seen losing their guard, shedding that crusty New York exterior and smiling on their way to work thanks to How To Be a New Yorker!

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is produced Off-Broadway by CRC Productions and Marie B Productions. The playing schedule is Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 2 & 7:30 PM, with a running time of 70 minutes (with no intermission). Pre-show lunch or dinner is served beginning 30 minutes before each performance at Sofia's Downstairs Theater, 221 West 46 Street (between Broadway & Eighth Ave.) Matinee tickets are $45 (which includes lunch) and evening performances are $55 (including dinner), and are available by calling 212-352-3101 or through www.How2BaNewYorker.com.
