Hit show of The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, HAMLET (SOLO) makes Theatre Row debut as part of United Solo Festival Thursday, November 3rd at 7pm.

Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present a world premiere production of Soft Animals by Erin Mallon from September 29 through October 9. All audience members will be asked to mask while at the theatre.

OSF has announced Theatre on Film, a new series of online watch parties featuring cinematic film versions of select 2022 repertory season productions, hosted live by directors, playwrights, actors, and community members on an interactive digital platform.

From Montgomery’s river region, up through West Alabama and over to Birmingham, a brief stint in Tennessee and tumbling back over Red Mountain to settle in East Birmingham. You could describe Will Stewart’s sound as “Central Alabama Music.” A little south of Nashville, some might say. 

Armed with his core band, Ross Parker (bass) Tyler McGuire (drums) Janet Simpson (vocals) and help from Daniel Raine (keys), Stewart churns through 10 songs of guitar driven folk rock. Recorded in the heart of east Birmingham and engineered by Brad Timko, it’s a sound that is uniquely Central Alabama. 

Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present new play readings on June 1 and 7 in collaboration with other New Jersey arts organizations. 

The lead track “Bad Memory” is a mid-tempo road song inviting the listener to roll down the windows and take the scenic route. A meditation on the wish to have the ability to summon up a bad memory in order to achieve a more peaceful state - wouldn’t that be nice? The single will be available tomorrow.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival today announced its 2022 Season, making a joyous return to repertory programming after two years of extreme uncertainty—and emerging with an ambitious vision of theatre as an accessible artform that can boldly meet our current moment.

Redhouse Arts Center’s 2021-22 Main Stage Season has been announced, featuring the remounting of a previously cancelled show. With every production this season, Redhouse will utilize its versatile theatre space not only treat audiences to a thrilling theatre experience but allow for social distancing and a safe return back to live theater.
