Queens-based Titan Theatre Company will conclude its critically acclaimed 2014/15 season with a signature take on Shakespeare's classic tragedy Othello featuring an ALL FEMALE CAST. The production will play a limited run April 17 - May 2, 2015 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V, will direct. Shakespeare's most tragic hero squares off against arguably his greatest villain, in the classic tale of jealousy, betrayal, and vengeance. Watch as Iago leads "The Moor" to the edge of sanity, by weaving a trail of deceit about the loyalty of a friend, and a wife's fidelity.

"With the enormous success of A CHRISTMAS CAROL and our 'MIDSUMMER' remount, OTHELLO is the perfect production to end a great season." said Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. "We have assembled a top notch All Female cast to tackle one of Shakespeare's most masculine plays. We focused on finding 12 of the best female actresses this city has to offer...and we did just that."

Othello features an 'A' list cast that includes: Emily Trask (Lincoln Center: The Oldest Boy, Yale Rep, Alley Theatre), Carol Linnea Johnson (Broadway: Full Monty, Mamma Mia!, Utah Shakespeare) Laura Frye (Teatro Franco Parenti, Virginia Shakepeare), Abbey Siegworth (American Players Theater, Dallas Theatre Center), and features Leah Dutchin (American Players Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Chicago Shakespeare) in the Title Role.

Titan rounds out the cast with Titan Company Members Tressa Preston, Leah Gabriel, Alyssa Van Gorder, and Guest Artists Molly Densmore, Deanna Gibson, Kate Gunther, Alex Spieth, and Carolynne Warren. Maggie Wetzel, Bailey Seeker, Skyler Volpe, and Sierra Tothero will understudy.

Additional creative team also includes: Becky Willet (Costume Design), Weston Wetzel (Sound Design), Jasmine Nicole (Set Design) Jonathan Hicks (Fight Choreography), Alan Piotrowicz (Lighting Design) and Ashley Zednick (Stage Management)

Othello is produced by Titan Theatre Company Managing Director Kevin Beebee. Othello is an Equity Approved showcase.
